I'm not doing a weekend update because guess what? My weekend wasn't that interesting!
I cleaned house, ran some errands, picked my fantasy football team, and managed to sprain my jaw (get your mind out of the gutter! I was eating and it somehow misaligned. It is still freaking sore).
Boom! There is your recap!
But no, today I would like to discuss with you all something I am not even sure I will succeed in doing. Maybe you can even give me some tips.
I am trying to BECOME A MORNING PERSON.
First, if you know me, then you know not to talk to me until I've had at least a half of a cup of coffee.
Currently there isn't much I will wake up early for. I have issues getting up before 7-7:30 and even then it takes me, a half hour just to wake up.
I have noticed that morning people seem to be WAY more productive overall than myself. So why not try to join the ranks??
When I worked in the hospital, my alarm would go off at 5:30AM and I'd emit a groan. Right now, I naturally wake up at 7AM-ish. But, I know that I am wasting precious time and if I could get up at 6AM, maybe I'd be more productive!
I need to start working out more. Maybe, possibly that would help me be not so grumpy in the morning. And I really don't feel like working out at night either.
Of course, I definitely need to start going to bed earlier that 11:30PM if I want to get up early.
I wish I had a dog. It could help me get out of bed. Think about it- nobody wants to have to deal with a barking dog who needs to go out OR the accident that comes from not taking the dog out. (Disclaimer: I wouldn't want a dog JUST for this reason...it would just be a perk) AND it could help with the working out!
Honestly though, I just have to suck it up and try to wake up earlier.
I've thought about writing out a schedule like when I was a kid.
For example: 6-6:30AM-Wake up, coffee, breakfast.
7:30AM-8:30AM Emails, Blog stuff, etc
So on and so forth...
So, what do you think? Are you a morning person? If so, do you have tips for getting up and at 'em?
